Such cases may include, among others, applying for the wrong product, uploading a false ID/Visa, and uploading an expired ID/Visa. Hiking Mount Bisoke starts with passing through leveled, rocky, and rough ground at the foothills of the volcano. Trekkers navigate via several plantations/local gardens before arriving at the park’s entrance. Once trekkers reach the top of Mount Bisoke summit, you will be able to view the beautiful landscape and vegetation surrounding the Virunga massif, including the Mount Bisoke Crater Lake, Mount Mikeno, which is situated in Congo, and Mount Karisimbi volcano. Mount Bisoke Lake summit is not suitable for swimming.

Mount Bisoke hiking weather can indicate how long climbers can stay at the summit. A picnic lunch is always arranged at the top of the volcano on a sunny day. The volcano descending to the starting point is much easier. Expect to get your driver guide waiting for you at the starting point.

We recommend that travelers should tip their porters and rangers. This is another way of giving back to the local community residing around the park. For a more exceptional experience, travelers can go for the 3-day gorilla tour and Mount Bisoke hiking.

The best time to travel to Rwanda and hike Mount Bisoke is in the dry seasons, which happens from June to August and in December, January, and February. During the dry months, the hiking trails are less slippery, and the skies are clearer.

However, the best time can vary depending on the trekker’s fitness and weather conditions. Mount Bisoke hiking costs $75 per traveler. The hiking cost caters for a trained park ranger guide to assist during the hike. The best time to tour Mount Bisoke is the dry season, although Volcanoes National Park can be visited all year round.
